Zay Jones Posts 65 Yards In Week 1 Loss
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Zay Jones finished with six receptions for 65 yards in Sunday's 28-22 loss to the Washington Commanders. The former second-round pick tied Christian Kirk for the most receptions for the Jaguars on Sunday while earning the second-most targets with nine. After signing with Jacksonville in the offseason, Jones did enough during training camp and the preseason to earn the No. 2 wide receiver spot alongside Kirk. Besides seeing a healthy number of snaps, the 27-year-old wideout has seemingly earned the trust of Trevor Lawrence with four of his nine targets coming on third down. Jones could become a flex option in deeper leagues if he continues to see a consistent number of targets each week.
