3 years agoBuffalo Sabres center Zemgus Girgensons scored a power-play goal on Saturday in Buffalo's 6-2 defeat against the Carolina Hurricanes. Girgensons scored with less than 26 seconds left in the second period to cut Buffalo's deficit to three at the time. He had three shots on goal and delivered four hits on the night. Girgensons snapped a five game point drought. The forward has played almost an exclusively defensive role (offensive zone deployment at 34.1%) but still has a respectable ten points in 23 contests. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
