NFL DFS Picks for Chargers at Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes more than 309.5 passing yards - This game is poised to be a shootout as the current total is set at 54.5, which is easily the highest total on the board. Last week, Mahomes slayed the Cardinals by throwing for 360 passing yards in a game that was never close. This game should be closer and Mahomes has had some big games against these Chargers in the past as noted by his 410-yard performance against them in Week 15 last season. Last week, the Chargers allowed Derek Carr to throw for 295 yards, so Mahomes throwing for 320+ should not be a wild feat.
Travis Kelce more than 80.5 receiving yards - This is an amazing spot for Travis Kelce, especially now that he is the focal point of this Chiefs' offense and is not contending for targets with Tyreek Hill any longer. Last week, Kelce was targeted nine times and hauled in eight receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. This matchup is great as well as the Chargers ranked dead last in the league in 2021 in terms of receiving yards allowed to the tight end position. In two games against the Chargers in 2021, Kelce racked up 17 receptions for 295 yards and two scores.
Austin Ekeler more than 37.5 receiving yards - Ekeler has a solid matchup in this game as the Chiefs struggled against pass-catching backs in 2021. They allowed the fourth-most receptions and third-most receiving yards to the position. Ekeler had a rough game vs. the Raiders a week ago but still managed to rack up 36 receiving yards on four receptions. He should be able to get over this total much as he did in his Week 3 matchup against the Chiefs in 2021 when he went for 52 receiving yards on six receptions.
Other Recommendations: Justin Herbert more than 285.5 passing yards, Austin Ekeler more than 4.5 receptions, Mike Williams over 70.5 receiving yards
