Welcome back RotoBallers to another week of starting pitcher starts and sits!
We're still rolling along like we have been all year, but this week I wanted to highlight how bad the Tigers and Athletics have been. Those two offenses are the two worst in the league, and it is not close. Their team OPS marks have both been hovering around or below .600 - an egregiously bad mark. The third-worst offense in the league has been around .650, so that shows the distance that is there. Because of this, I am now very likely to recommend the "start" for pitchers facing these two offenses - and you'll see that reflected below.
For every week of the fantasy baseball season, we are going to analyze every single projected starting pitcher matchup for fantasy baseball and help you set optimal lineups. Below are the projected starting pitching matchups and starts/sits for Week 10, covering June 13th through June 19th. We will keep this updated as rotations continue to be announced and modified. This column will make continuous adjustments for any postponements or rotation shuffles, reflecting official beat writer speculation for as many unconfirmed rotation slots as possible. Let's set those winning lineups!
Editor's Note: Our incredible team of writers received five total writing awards and 13 award nominations by the Fantasy Sports Writers Association, tops in the industry! Start/Sit Data Overview
This weekly piece considers the pitcher’s opponents, their outlook against lefties and righties, some ballpark factors, and historical splits. With all of this information, we then provide our start/sit recommendations for each starting pitcher matchup for the approaching week of fantasy baseball.
Each player will be valued with a Start/Sit recommendation, we are also including a "Score" column this year to display the level of confidence in that pick. Scores go from 0-100 in increments of five. The higher, the better! They are also color-coded, as you'll see.
Legend:
- Proj GS - the number of starts the starter is projected to make in the week's scoring period.
- Score - A metric of confidence, from 0-100 in increments of five. The higher, the better for the pitcher.
This chart is updated daily as probable starters are constantly changing with game postponements, injuries, and other events.
