BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Leagues
ROSTERED: 22% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Teddy B finished Week 1 as the QB15 through Sunday's games and top-34 player overall in PPR leagues. More than that, and even although you might not believe what I'm about to say: Bridgewater completed 22 of 34 attempts for 270 yards, the ninth-highest mark among starters. He also got himself a touchdown, avoided being intercepted, and added 26 yards on his four carries on the ground. Not bad for a debut.
Bridgewater only reached 270 yards passing two times last season in his six games played from weeks 2 through 7 subbing for Drew Brees when the latter fell injured. He's already done so once in one game, a promising start in his new surroundings, and he also bested his rushing mark from last season (12 yards) doubling it against Las Vegas last Sunday.
While Teddy is probably closer to a 16-to-18 PPG quarterback rather than a 20-to-22 weekly one (he finished W1 with 21.4 fantasy points), he normally tries to limit his mistakes and plays the safe way, which gives him a good floor in most matchups. Bridgwater if far from a booming player, and has limited upside, but he's also far from a bad QB2 if you are part of a 2QB League and in the need of a relatively reliable secondary option to go with your actual QB1.
