The Cincinnati Reds play NINE GAMES next week. That is not a typo.
- Monday vs. PIT
- Tuesday DH vs. PIT
- Wednesday vs. PIT
- Thursday @ STL
- Friday @ STL
- Saturday DH @ STL
- Sunday @ STL
There are five teams playing EIGHT GAMES next week, with plenty of double-headers on the tap. Those teams are:
- Pittsburgh
- Blue Jays
- Guardians
- Rays
- Marlins
We will definitely be prioritizing Reds pickups because of all of that opportunity, but those teams are in the pool as well.
This Week's Streamers
TJ Friedl, Cincinnati Reds (12% Rostered)
Friedl has been electric lately, hitting .404/.458/.808 over his last 59 plate appearances. He can steal bags and has benefited from the home ballpark to actually hit some homers (5) over that time as well. He can be added for next week.
Jake Fraley, Cincinnati Reds (17% Rostered)
Fraley has hit .296/.375/.561 since July 1st, and that's over a pretty significant sample size of 112 plate appearances. He has seven homers in that time for an elite 16 PA/HR, and the Pirates pitching staff at home is a fantastic schedule for him in particular.
Kyle Farmer, Cincinnati Reds (23% Rostered)
These last two Reds' names are less interesting than Friedl and Fraley. Farmer has hit just .236/.302/.340 since July after a pretty good start to the year. He has just four homers and a 4.4% Brl% over these last 212 plate appearances. The contact rate is high, and the strikeout rate is pretty good, so he could have some good times hitting in the heart of the order against a weak schedule of pitchers.
Donovan Solano, Cincinnati Reds (6% Rostered)
Solano has always just been a batting average boost guy. He's hitting over .300 this year but showing almost very limited power (three homers, 6.1% Brl%). He will surely not play in all nine games next week, but if you need some base knocks, he can rack them up for the Reds in week 23.
Oneil Cruz, Pittsburgh Pirates (48% Rostered)
If you are in any kind of dynasty league, Cruz certainly isn't available. However, many people have clearly given up on him and his 38% K% in redraft. That major strikeout problem hasn't held back his homer production, as he's managed 13 homers in less than a half-season's worth of PAs. You can definitely squeeze a dinger or two out of Cruz next week, and the big schedule of games that includes Great American Ballpark is a big help.
Harold Ramirez, Tampa Bay Rays (41% Rostered)
He has found his way to some extra waiver wires after an injury and some decreased performance. This is still a guy with a .327/.364/.437 slash line for the year, and he plays a bunch of games next week. He is one of the better hitters currently available.
Manuel Margot, Tampa Bay Rays (20% Rostered)
He's back, and we know what kind of upside he has with the power and steals. He was one of the best fantasy players in the game in the season's early months, and now he's healthy again. Add him for week 23!
