BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 1% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Those unfamiliar with the embarrassingly-rich stable of young Braves arms are learning a lot in 2018. There are rumblings of prospect Touki Toussaint getting a spot start with Max Fried hitting the 10-day DL, and even the most distant rumblings mean you need to pay attention with a talent like Touki.
The 22-year-old tore through Double-A with a 2.93 ERA/1.19 WHIP and 107 strikeouts in 86 IP before a promotion to Triple-A, where he has posted a 2.01 ERA/1.18 WHIP with 32 whiffs in 31 ⅓ IP. His swinging-strike rate has sat around 13% in the upper minors and should carry over to the swing-happy bigs, where he could post a 25% strikeout rate out of the gate.
As with any prospect, it is tough to see how his minor league successes translate to the big leagues. Even with a learning curve, playing for a team like the Braves (who are not shy with young talent) will only help his stock. He is worth a flier in deeper leagues, especially if he gets spot starts for Fried.
