ANALYSIS: Montgomery was given the start at running back in the frigid cold against the Bears, and averaged over 10 yards per carry for 162 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, with two catches for one yard. The passing line isn’t fantastic, but he truly dazzled as the feature back here against a Chicago defense that was missing its nose tackle in Eddie Goldman. We’ve seen this hype train rise and fall before, but this is great to see heading into a rough matchup against Minnesota at home. He’ll need some more passes to make value in that one.
