Week 1 NFL DFS Prop Picks for PrizePicks

tom brady fantasy football rankings NFL injury news DFS lineup picks

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2022 NFL season is finally underway and that means our friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great DFS plays we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest to win NFL DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

NFL DFS Picks for Week 1

Before diving into some solid fantasy score totals this week, we must first cover the PrizePicks scoring format. The format is PPR, which stands for "point per reception", meaning every reception is worth one point. Rushing and receiving touchdowns are worth six points and passing touchdowns are worth four points. Each rushing or receiving yard is worth .1, meaning every 10 yards of either is worth one point. Quarterback passing yards are worth .04, which means every 25 passing yards are worth one point. If you ever have questions, you can always click the "scoring chart" option above the player selections for each contest. Now let's get to some solid fantasy score props for this week.

Tom Brady more than .5 passing yards -Yes, you read that correctly, Tom Brady is listed at just .5 passing yards as a promo to kick off the 2022 NFL season. PrizePicks is famous for their fantastic promos and this is just another example of a free square to place into any of your picks for Week 1.

A.J. Brown more than 65.5 receiving yards - Brown will be playing his first game with Hurts and the Eagles, and one would think they will want to get him involved early and often to continue building a strong rapport with Jalen Hurts. This is a great spot to do it as well as the Lions struggled against wide receivers in 2021 by allowing an average of nearly 162 receiving yards per game to the position, which ranked ninth-worst in the league. While the Eagles are favored by four points in this game, they will have to build that lead somehow, and their rushing attack has not been anything to write home about over the past several seasons.

Jonathan Taylor more than 98.5 rushing yards - There has been a lot of talk about Nyheim Hines getting more work in the passing game and cutting into Taylor's carries this season, and while that may happen as we progress into 2022, this spot is just too good to not take a serious look at Taylor's total. The Colts are favored by 8.5 points, which should mean additional carries for Taylor against a defense that struggled mightily against the run in 2021. Overall, the Texans ranked dead last in terms of rushing yards allowed per game to running backs in 2021 by allowing an average of nearly 122 yards per game. Taylor faced this defense twice in 2021 and rushed for a total of 288 yards while eclipsing this mark in each of the two games.

Austin Ekeler more than 55.5 rushing yards - Ekeler should be in line for a solid day and is also one of my favorite DFS plays on Sunday. The Chargers will enter the game as 3.5-point favorites, which should lead to some additional carries against this less-than-stellar Raiders' run defense. In 2021, the Raiders allowed nearly 95 rushing yards per game to the running back position, which ranked in the bottom half of the league. Ekeler also eclipsed this total in 10 games last season, including each of his last five games to end the season.

Other Recommendations: Baker Mayfield more than .5 interceptions, Nick Chubb more than 15.5 rush attempts,
