Week 5 NFL - Fantasy Score DFS Prop Picks for PrizePicks

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 NFL season is finally underway and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest to win NFL DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For NFL, Single Stat consists of quarterback passing yards, running back rushing yards, and wide receiver receiving yards in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some fantasy score totals for the Week 5 of the NFL season.

Fantasy Score NFL Totals

Before diving into some solid fantasy score totals this week, we must first cover the PrizePicks scoring format. The format is PPR, which stands for a point per reception, meaning every reception is worth one point. Rushing and receiving touchdowns are worth six points and passing touchdowns are worth four points. Each rushing or receiving yard is worth .1, meaning every 10 yards of either is worth one point. Quarterback passing yards are worth .04, which means every 25 passing yards are worth one point. If you ever have questions, you can always click the "scoring chart" option above the player selections for each contest. Now let's get to some solid fantasy score props for this week.

Quintez Cephus over 9.0 fantasy score - Cephus has been a primary target of Jared Goff to begin the season as he has earned five or more targets in three of the Lions' first four games and has hauled in 12 receptions for 166 yards and two scores. He comes into this game with a solid matchup against a Vikings secondary that has allowed an average of 179.5 receiving yards to the positon and has also given up six touchdowns. Add in the fact that the Lions are seven-point underdogs, and you have a recipe for solid volume and an opportunity to get over this total.

Jacoby Brissett over 16.5 fantasy score - Brissett gets one of his best matchups of the season against a Bucs secondary that has given up 11 passing touchdowns to the quarterback position, which ranks last in the league. They are also allowing quarterbacks to average 330.25 passing yards per game (second-worst) and over 22 fantasy points per game (sixth-worst). The Dolphins are also 9.5-point underdogs, which should certainly lead to more passing as well as the fact that the Bucs have the number one ranked rush defense in the league.

Leonard Fournette over 13.0 fantasy score - I am going out on a slight limb here due to the volume fluctuations experienced in this Bucs' backfield, but Fournette saw 20 carries last week at New Engalnd and gets a superb matchup this week at home against Miami. Currently, the Dolphins are allowing the third-most rushing yards per game to running backs by allowing over 123 yards per game. They are also giving up nearly 4.5 yards per carry and have allowed the second-most rushing touchdowns to the position with five. If Fournette is given the opportunity, and he should given the fact that the Bucs are 9.5-point favorites, he should be able to run all over this Dolphins' defense.

Kenny Golladay over 13.5 fantasy score- Golladay will be facing the Cowboys' secondary who have allowed wide receivers to average over 212 yards per game, which is ranked fifth-worst in the league. They have also given up six receiving touchdowns to the position. Golladay has seen 26 targets this season and this number could certainly increase this week, especially if Sterling Shepard is out again with a hamstring injury. In his absence last week, Golladay had his best outing of the season by hauling in six receptions for 116 yards. Even if Shepard is able to go, it is unlikely he will be at full strength, which makes Golladay a solid play either way.

Dalton Schultz over 9.0 fantasy score - Schultz has gone over this total in three of the Cowboys' first four games. He has earned 23 targets this season and turned them into 20 receptions for 201 yards and three touchdowns. This is not a tight end that is touchdown dependent, but he will be going up against a Giants' defense that has allowed the most touchdowns to tight ends with four. They have also given up the 10th-most receptions to the position, which will certainly help Schultz get over this total in the PPR format that PrizePicks uses.

Other Recommendations: Chase Edmonds over 13/5 fantasy score, Ezekiel Elliott over 16.5 fantasy score, Jakobi Meyers over 14.0 fantasy score, Marvin Jones over 14.5 fantasy score

Overall recommendation for this play: FLEX
