WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (6/13/21): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Happy Sunday, y'all! Big day of WNBA games, with four of them on the schedule.

Things get started early with the Storm facing the Sun. After that, we've got the Mystics and the Dream, followed by a pair of evening games as the Wings play the Aces while the Liberty face the Mercury.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/13/21. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Game Breakdown: Storm @ Sun

When: 2:00 PM ET

Watch: Facebook

Players of Interest: Alright, let's get the obvious out of the way. Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd are strong plays. Connecticut won't be at full strength for this one, and the Stewart/Loyd duo should continue to post huge nights.

In terms of other Storm players, Sue Bird has been on a really solid run, and her assists are high enough to make her a solid play even on nights when her shot isn't falling.

Looking for a sleeper? Epiphanny Prince played just 12 minutes last game, but took seven shots in that time, scoring 11 points. The veteran player is risky, but she's been seeing an uptick in usage.

On the Sun side, Jonquel Jones is away for EuroBasket, so this is going to be DeWanna Bonner's team for a few games. Expect heavy usage here. Remember in 2020 with no Jones, Bonner was consistently one of the best DFS plays around. Great high-priced anchor for your team.

With no Jones, there will be some adjustments. Brionna Jones is an obvious pick to replace some of her production, but the player I'm really intrigued by is Beatrice Mompremier. Only $4,800 on DraftKings and $3,000 on FanDuel, Mompremier likely winds up playing a lot more minutes than she has been. Ignore the poor production this season and consider her an intriguing sleeper pick.

I also think we could see Jasmine Thomas increase her offensive usage for the next few games. Seattle's backcourt defense could make things tough for her, but she'll be a solid play.

WNBA DFS Game Breakdown: Mystics @ Dream

When: 3:30 PM ET

Watch: NBA TV

Players of Interest: Tina Charles has been a roll this season, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to believe that the Dream slow her down. Nothing against this Atlanta team, but Charles is averaging over 40 fantasy points per game and has some incredibly high usage.

Sticking with the Mystics frontcourt, Myisha Hines-Allen has been playing some really good basketball since returning to the team. She's coming off of a slow game against the Sparks that saw her score just 10 points, but she also has multiple double-doubles this season. I'd consider her a top play.

At guard, Washington has Ariel Atkins, who has scored over 30 fantasy points in four consecutive games. She's been contributing across the board, scoring and rebounding and assisting and recording steals. Big Atkins fan on this slate.

For Atlanta, Cheyenne Parker has now played four games and is coming into her own, with 17 points, four rebounds, and a block against Seattle. The team's big offseason acquisition, Parker's back to a full workload and is a solid play moving forward. She's even a little undervalued on this slate!

The rest of the Atlanta frontcourt options are hard to trust, and there are enough options on the slate for us to ignore those players. But there is guard value with the Dream.

Courtney Williams is pricy, but with Chennedy Carter sidelined, Williams is shouldering most of the offensive load in Atlanta. I think she should be in for a big game. Tiffany Hayes is a solid play without the same upside as Williams, while there's some decent value in Odyssey Sims, who has three or more assists in five consecutive games. Her scoring isn't super consistent, but she did take 17 shots against the Storm, so maybe she's trending up? I also think there's upside with Aari McDonald, but her past couple games have been a struggle, so I'm not super confident on that pick.

WNBA DFS Game Breakdown: Wings @ Aces

When: 6:00 PM ET

Watch: WNBA League Pass

Players of Interest: LIZ CAMBAGE REVENGE GAME SZN.

But seriously, if you just watched Brittney Griner carve up the Wings inside, you know that Cambage is a must play on this slate. Dallas won't really have an answer for her and she'll pile up the points and rebounds.

They also won't really have an A'ja Wilson answer, so keep her up in those rankings. One of those two is going to post a ridiculous stat line that ends up being the highest DFS score of the night.

Dearica Hamby had 13 points and nine board against New York, a team with similar interior issues to the Wings. And as for guards, both Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young are strong plays against this Wings backcourt.

As for Dallas, Arike Ogunbowale is just so exciting and knows how to rise to the moment. This game against the Aces feels like that moment, though Arike hasn't been post huge fantasy showings over the past two games. Marina Mabrey's numbers are down enough that I won't recommend her and Allisha Gray isn't playing like DFS players want her to, so maybe save some salary and grab Tyasha Harris, who is getting a ton of minutes and has seen an uptick in assists and shot attempts.

Satou Sabally is hit or miss this year, but she's been a hit over the last couple of games. She'll play 25-plus minutes and will offer some solid fantasy production. As for a sleeper, Bella Alarie just had her best game of the year, with six points and nine rebounds against Phoenix. She might be the only hope Dallas has of defending the Aces inside, so I expect to see her on the court for a ton of minutes.

WNBA DFS Game Breakdown: Liberty @ Mercury

When: 6:00 PM ET

Watch: WNBA League Pass

Players of Interest: Let's start with the obvious: Brittney Griner is going to eat. The Mercury have been running the offense through her with Diana Taurasi out, and they're about the face the WNBA team with the least size inside. I expect Phoenix to feed Griner over and over and over.

The Mercury aren't a super deep team, which makes all the starters into strong plays. Skylar Diggins-Smith and Kia Nurse will get a lot of shot attempts. Brianna Turner will succeed inside, though not to the extent of Griner. Phoenix is a pretty easy team to predict at this point. I probably won't play Megan Walker because she's been inconsistent, but maybe she gets that Revenge Game boost? I can see her giving you 20-ish fantasy points, though there are cheaper players who can probably do that too.

Advertising

On the Liberty side, New York has to hope Sabrina Ionescu gets her shot going, but even if she doesn't, her contributions in other areas usually give her a 20-point fantasy floor.

Betnijah Laney has been the team's best player, and her high usage gives her an arguably higher floor than Ionescu. She had her first game scoring under 20 (real, not fantasy) points in the team's loss to Connecticut, but I expect a bounceback here.

I'd also have interest in Sami Whitcomb because of how good she's been from three. Beyond that, I don't really know. It seems Michaela Onyenwere and Rebecca Allen take turns vulturing each other's value, so not sure I'll want to play much of either.

Maybe Reshanda Gray is a deep, deep sleeper? I don't know how you slow down Griner, but maybe Gray is the best option for New York to play at the five to try? Kylee Shook is such an intriguing player, but it seems she isn't really the right play in games like this against a dominant big. Gray probably isn't either, but...maybe there's a little value? Probably not, but...look, New York has to explore some things with their lineup, right?
