WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (7/12/19): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

An eventful night in the WNBA, as we have five games going on and a handful of players returning from EuroBasket, which complicates things even more. New York, for instance, has three new players to fit into the rotation, which makes it tough to figure out what they'll do. Factor in that while the players are all back, they might not all play immediately and...we have a pretty big mess on our hands.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/12/19. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Courtney Vandersloot (G, Chicago Sky) – vs New York Liberty (DK: $9,300, FD: $7,500)

New York remains the only WNBA that allows an average of over 80 points per game. They also allow the fourth-most assists per contest. Vandersloot's scoring has been down lately as she's taken a backseat to some of Chicago's other options, but she remains the league's best passer. The last time Vandersloot faced this Liberty team, she had 25 points, eight rebounds, and six assists, and while I don't think she reaches that scoring total tonight, she could easily hit double figures in assists in a fast-paced, high-scoring game.

Erica Wheeler (G, Indiana Fever) – vs Los Angeles Sparks (DK: $8,700, FD: $7,000)

No team is allowing teams to shoot a higher percentage from three than the Sparks, with opponents connecting on a league-high 7.4 threes per game at a league-high 37.1 percent rate. Yikes. Good spot here for Wheeler, who is shooting 39.3 percent from three on the season and has taken at least three attempts from deep in seven straight games. She's also had at least seven assists in three straight games.

Bria Hartley (G, New York Liberty) – @ Chicago Sky (DK: $6,500, FD: $6,000)

While we don't have confirmation that Hartley is playing yet, we know she's rejoined the Liberty and that her DraftKings price in particular feels like a good value. In five games this season, Hartley averaged nine points, five rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while adding 1.2 steals. That was good for 23.5 DraftKings points per game, and she gets a plus matchup with the Sky, who've struggled defensively all year. Again, there's risk here as this is Hartley's first game back, but if she gets the level of playing time she did before EuroBasket, there's value here.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Sylvia Fowles (F, Minnesota Lynx) – @ Atlanta Dream (DK: $10,800, FD: $8,200)

The Dream allow more rebounds per game than any team in the WNBA. Fowles is second in the WNBA in rebounds per game. The Dream allow the fifth-most points in the paint. Fowles is second in the WNBA in baskets made per game in the restricted area, shooting 71.7 percent on those shots. She had 16 points the last time she faced Atlanta, though struggled on the boards, finishing with just five. She'll have more than five rebounds tonight.

Teaira McCowan (F, Indiana Fever) – vs Los Angeles Sparks (DK: $7,700, FD: $6,600)

Speaking of allowing points in the paint, the Sparks allow the second-most PITP in the league. McCowan is shooting 59.1 percent in the restricted area on the year, but over the last five games she's actually fifth in the WNBA in field goals made per game in the restricted area, connecting on 62.1 percent of them. McCowan's quietly having a strong rookie campaign, and there's no reason to think that doesn't continue on Friday.

Theresa Plaisance (F, Dallas Wings) – @ Seattle Storm (DK: $7,100, FD: $5,700)

Risky pick here, but Isabelle Harrison and Azura Stevens are expected to miss this game. Glory Johnson is just returning from EuroBasket and could be worked in slowly. This opens up minutes for Plaisance, who has shown this year that she's capable of putting up something like a 10-point, eight-rebound game. Don't love the matchup, but the opportunity should be there for her.
