WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks (8/3/19): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

Happy Saturday! Three games in the WNBA tonight. Liz Cambage returns to Dallas to face her former team, while the Fever host the Lynx and the Sky visit the Dream. We've got a good amount of struggling defenses going tonight, so this should be a high-scoring night of basketball.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/3/19. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

WNBA - DFS Guards

Odyssey Sims (G, Minnesota Lynx) – @ Indiana Fever (DK: $9,000, FD: $7,000)

Lot of guards I like at the top in this slate, but Sims' matchup with the Fever intrigues me the most. Sims is averaging 14.7 points and 5.3 assists per game this season and takes on a Fever team's that's allowing the most assists and third-most points per game this year. Indiana's perimeter defense has struggled, but the addition of rookie Teaira McCowan inside has made teams a little more hesitant to go inside on them. This is a matchup that benefits the guards for Minnesota.

Brittney Sykes (G, Atlanta Dream) – vs Chicago Sky (DK: $8,400, FD: $6,600)

The Dream host the Sky in what's a meeting between two of the four worst scoring defenses in the WNBA. I'm expecting a lot of points and assists in this one. Sykes is priced slightly below a couple of the other guards in this game, so if you want to save some and not play Chicago's Courtney Vandersloot or Atlanta's Tiffany Hayes, Sykes has a good shot to come up big. Her shot's been off the last few days, but she's taking double-digit field goal attempts per game. Do that against a defense allowing the second-most points in the league and you're bound to see your numbers spike back up to where they've been before.

WNBA - DFS Forwards

Elizabeth Williams (F, Atlanta Dream) – vs Chicago Sky (DK: $8,500, FD: $6,700)

Chicago is allowing the most points in the paint of any WNBA team this season. Williams is 11th in the league in field goals made per game in the restricted area. I like the looks of this matchup for her. She's also had five or more rebounds in eight of her past 10 games and the Sky allow the fifth-most rebounds per game. Lot of good synergy here. It's going to be a good one for Williams.

Jantel Lavender (F, Chicago Sky) – @ Atlanta Dream (DK: $6,900, FD: $7,000)

The Dream have allowed the fourth-most points in the paint over the last five games. Lavender's been having a pretty good year as someone who can score both inside and outside, but she's finished with single-digit points over the past three games. What better way to get her back on track than a meeting with Atlanta? (Well, she did have just eight points and five rebounds the last time she played the Dream, but she shot 50 percent in that game, so a few more shot attempts and we'd be looking at a different picture.)
