WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks, Betting Picks (5/24/22): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel, Best Bets

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Four WNBA games are on the docket for Tuesday night. The Wings take on the Suns and the Dream visit the Mercury in the 7:00 pm set of games, while an hour later, the Fever visit the Sky and the Liberty take on the Lynx.

I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and, because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/24/22. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slate locks on 5/24/2022 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Forwards

Sylvia Fowles (Minnesota Lynx) - vs NY - DK: $10,900, FD: $8,700

Here are things that New York has been bad at:

  • fourth-most points allowed per game
  • second-most rebounds allowed per game
  • second-most steals allowed per game
  • fourth-most two-point field goals allowed per game

Meanwhile, Fowles is averaging 17.9 points on 65.9% shooting with 9.9 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.6 blocks per game.

She's going to eat this Liberty team up. She averaged a double-double against them last year and while the addition of Stef Dolson helps the interior defense, I'm not sure it does enough to slow down a player like Fowles.

Candace Parker (Chicago Sky) - vs IND- DK: $10,600, FD: $6,300

Candace Parker has played well so far, with 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. She faces an Indiana team that allows more points per game than any other team and has an inexperienced starting frontcourt. Parker should be able to score in this one, but I also expect nice assist numbers, as she'll be dealing with defenders who are out of position and she'll be able to use her great vision to find open teammates.

Satou Sabally (Dallas Wings) - @ CON - DK: $6,900, FD: $4,800

Sabally made her season debut on Saturday, playing 19 minutes off the bench. You have to imagine it was just her being eased in after her international season. She went 4-for-11 from the floor for 11 points and added five rebounds, but was 0-for-4 from three and also committed five fouls, which didn't help the minutes. Sabally could be Dallas' best player by the end of this season and she's going to start putting up some big numbers soon—and as long as DFS sites are pricing her down like this, I'll keep taking a chance on her blow up happening that night.

WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Guards

Kahleah Copper (Chicago Sky) - vs IND - DK: $7,800, FD: $6,900

Like Sabally, Copper made her return from overseas this week and her first game went...fine. Chicago continued to rely on newfound weapon Rebekah Gardner more than I expected, but Copper—the Finals MVP last year—still saw 27 minutes of action, scoring 12 points on 5-for-11 shooting and adding four rebounds and one assist. She gets a juicy matchup with the Fever, whose defensive struggles were already covered above in the Candace Parker section.

Natisha Hiedeman (Connecticut Sun) -vs DAL - DK: $6,900, FD: $5,700

With Jasmine Thomas out, I expect to see a lot of Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman in this one. I like the value more with Hiedeman, even if Williams has more theoretical upside.

So far this season, Hiedeman is averaging 8.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 steals in 20 minutes per game. Her worst games came when she played under 20 minutes, which seems obvious but is also a good thing to know, as it shows that her production seems to scale up with her minutes. Expect a season high in minutes on Tuesday night.

Sami Whitcomb (New York Liberty) - @ MIN - DK: $6,900, FD: $6,600

The Liberty will be very shorthanded in this one, to the point where I might take a big swing on Crystal Dangerfield, who was just signed to a hardship. But Whitcomb is definitely the safer of the plays when it comes to guards who should see an increased role with Betnijah Laney sidelined.

When Laney was out for the season opener, Whitcomb had by far her best showing of the year, playing 33 minutes and scoring 15 points on 4-for-8 shooting. She was 2-for-6 from deep and also added five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Whitcomb's been inconsistent since, but expect her to take on the role of the team's secondary perimeter scorer in this one, which should lead to numbers that are more in line with her season debut than the four games since.

WNBA Betting Picks for 5/24/2022

Looking to make some WNBA bets? Let's look at some options for you.

Yesterday's Results: N/A

Dallas Wings Spread (+8.5)

Connecticut is good. The numbers even suggest they could be historically good based on their net rating. But they've played the Liberty twice, the Fever twice and the Sparks once, and those three teams look like the WNBA's three worst teams. The Sun actually have to play someone good, the 4-2 Wings, who've won two in a row and just destroyed the Lynx despite having a few players in foul trouble. The Sun are favored by too many here.

Minnesota Lynx Spread (-6)

The Lynx have been bad. The Liberty have been worse, and New York is without Betnijah Laney for this one. The team has lost by double-digits in three of their four losses, with the only close loss being a six-point overtime loss to Indiana. New York is a mess right now and while the Lynx are too, Minnesota has the clear edge here.
