Two WNBA games are set for Friday night. In the early game, the Sparks head to Indiana to take on the Fever, while the nightcap features the Liberty heading to the Pacific Northwest to face the Storm.
I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and, because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.
In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/27/22. WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Forwards
Breanna Stewart (Seattle Storm) - vs NY - DK: $10,500, FD: $9,000
Stewart's numbers have been good this season. She might not be as dominant as she's been in the past, but she's still averaging 19.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per game and is set to face a Liberty team that allows the fifth-most points and most rebounds per game. The Libs are a mess right now, which...honestly could come back to bite us if this ends up being a blowout, which is why I'm hesitating when it comes to playing any non-Stewie Storm players. But if a blowout happens, Stewart will be a huge part of it.
Nneka Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks) - @ IND- DK: $9,600, FD: $8,100
While the Sparks have been a mess this year, Nneka Ogwumike has been the bright spot. She's averaging 16.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. The Sparks have been better than their opponents when Nneka is on the floor...and significantly worse when she wasn't on the floor. She played 36 minutes last game in a win over Phoenix, scoring 23 points on 9-for-14 shooting. The Fever allow the second-most points in the league, behind only the Phoenix team that she just went off on.
Rebecca Allen (New York Liberty) - @ SEA - DK: $8,600, FD: $6,600
With New York shorthanded last game, Allen played 33 minutes, going 8-for-20 from the floor (4-for-8 from three) with 21 points, one rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals. As long as Betnijah Laney is out, Allen is going to be New York's No. 2 scoring option behind Sabrina Ionescu. The matchup itself isn't great, but the projected volume for Allen at this price point is worth risking it despite the matchup.
WNBA DFS Lineup Picks: Guards
Brittney Sykes (Los Angeles Sparks) - @ IND - DK: $8,300, FD: $6,800
Sykes will never light the world on fire as a scorer, as she averages just 8.8 points per game. But she gets her numbers elsewhere, with averages of 4.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.1 blocks and 2.9 steals per game. Just looking at L.A.'s opponent, we see that the Fever allow the fourth-most rebounds and most steals per game. This should be a game where Sykes can wreck havoc on the defensive end, plus the Fever allow 88.9 points per game, so we might see one of Sykes' better scoring games of the season.
Victoria Vivians (Indiana Fever) -vs LA - DK: $7,600, FD: $5,700
The Fever just changed head coaches, so Vivians could suddenly be outside of the rotation or something. But if we assume the rotations continue to look more-or-less the same—the only real change I foresee is more Destanni Henderson and less Danielle Robinson—then Vivians should be a solid DFS play on Friday's slate against a team that allows the third-most points per game in the W. Vivians has scored 15 or more points in four straight games and has a steal in three consecutive contests. She's also 5-for-10 from three over the last two games.
Crystal Dangerfield (New York Liberty) - @ SEA - DK: $5,000, FD: $3,900
Really love the value here with Dangerfield, who the Liberty recently signed to a hardship deal. Dangerfield joined the Liberty and played 17 minutes in her debut, scoring just one point on 0-for-2 shooting. But she had four rebounds and four assists and should continue to see more minutes because New York is so light at point guard right now. Risky play, but at this price, if she hits, you should be in for a good DFS day.

Los Angeles Sparks Spread (-5.5)
The Sparks haven't been playing well. But the Fever are a team full of rookies that will have a new head coach on Friday night. I like the idea of moving on from Marianne Stanley, but there's going to be an adjustment curve at first. The Sparks have more talent and should win this came comfortably, likely somewhere in the 8-9 point range.
Seattle Storm First Half Team Total (O 42.5)
I have apparently become part of a bet involving the Storm's first half team total:
So yeah, I've got a vested interest in this happening, since it results in me getting a jersey. But also...it's a good bet. The Liberty defense has struggled lately, especially in the first half. They allowed 45 in the first half to the Lynx, despite Minnesota having just 11 points in the second quarter. They allowed 51 in the first half to Connecticut.
