We've got a weird slate for y'all today, with a one-game afternoon slate and then a two-game night slate. Instead of giving you actual picks, I'm going to preview each slate from a macro level.
I'll be providing daily fantasy lineup picks for the WNBA this season here at RotoBaller. In addition, I'll be sprinkling in some basic betting picks. Not going to get complicated since there's limited space in this piece, but I'll throw you a bet or two each day that I like and, because I think this is important, that I'll be making myself.
In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/6/22. These lineups picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 7/6/2022 at 1:00 p.m. ET and 8:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

Sky @ Lynx Showdown Slate
I only play one-game slates on DraftKings, not on FanDuel, so this section will be biased toward that site. Sorry!
In terms of a captain to get you the 1.5x points on this slate, I think with how she's been playing, I'm getting a little weird and making Aerial Powers my top option there. She's coming off of a game in which she scored 32 points and added six rebounds and four assists. Her scoring has been inconsistent, but if she rides this hot wave, she can really find some success.
I also like what playing Powers does for my salary. On DraftKings, you have an average of $7,540 left per player after you captain Powers. If you drop in Julie Allemand as a value play and hope that her current trend of assists gets accompanied by her taking more than one shot, you can end up with a lineup that features the top Lynx big, Sylvia Fowles, along with Candace Parker, Emma Meesseman and Azura Stevens. It's a lineup that's heavy on the Lynx Sky players, but I'm fine with that. My one disappointment with that line is that I didn't manage to fit Moriah Jefferson into it, which I could do by taking Meesseman out, if you're not feeling a lineup that features all of the Sky bigs.
The Night Slate
Alright, now onto the two games at night. What can we make happen with the night slate?
Here's what I built on DraftKings:
Some quick thoughts on these picks:
- I like Marine Johannes because Rebecca Allen is still out, which means the Liberty should continue to start Johannes at the three. She's averaging 14.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists as a starter.
- Kristi Wallace and Monique Billings both feel like solid values. The Dream play a lot of players and it hurts the value of any individual one, but Billings has 20-plus DraftKings points in two consecutive games, while Wallace filled up the stat sheet last time out, with eight rebounds and six assists. She only have five points, but did take five field goal attempts. I'd rather play these two than more expensive Dream players.
- Natasha Howard has maintained a big role in the Liberty offense lately, though efficiency has been a concern. She's scored in double figures in six consecutive games.
- A'ja Wilson is A'ja Wilson. She's going to eat up Stefanie Dolson on Wednesday night. Her last game went poorly, but before that she'd scored 40-plus DK points in four straight games.
- Ariel Atkins is another player who has been given a lot of shots lately. She's scored 30-plus DK points in four of the last six games.
As for FanDuel, here's a sample lineup, with commentary on players who don't appear in the DraftKings one:
- Sami Whitcomb returns after a one-game absence and should serve as the primary shooting threat off the Liberty bench. Essentially a cheaper, lower upside version of playing Johannes.
- Theresa Plaisance is a good shooter who can stretch the floor at the five for the Aces. Her minutes have been really inconsistent, but this seems like a matchup where the team might turn to her a little bit.
- Shakira Austin had 24.4 FanDuel points the last time she played the Mystics, finishing with nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal.
WNBA Betting Picks for 7/6/2022
Looking to make some WNBA bets? Let's look at some options for you.
Yesterday's Results: 1-1
Chicago Sky Spread (-1.5)
This is a tough one. The Lynx have turned their season around and the Sky are only 1.5-point favorites on the road. But like...what are we doing here? The Sky have won five straight. That includes a win over Minnesota. Taking the Sky spread here feels like easy money,
New York Liberty Spread (+11)
New York has lost two in a row and sits at 8-12 on the season. The Aces are 15-6. On paper, this spread makes sense.
But Vegas is 6-4 in its last 10 games and has hit a rough patch, which culminated in a 102-71 loss to the Lynx last game. New York has Sami Whitcomb back to add some offensive firepower to the Libs. Not saying New York wins this, but 11 is a big spread considering how the Aces no longer look like the unbeatable team they were earlier this season.
