Jhonattan Vegas Relying On Ball-Striking
3 years agoJhonattan Vegas missed his first cut in five starts at the tumultuous Players Championship last week. At a course like Innisbrook, Vegas may find his distance advantage off the tee slightly nullified by forced layups. With a larger emphasis on the rest of his game, he is able to lean on his approach play to do the bulk of his scoring while gaining handsomely in the three recorded events prior to The Players. The Valspar puts a golfer's short game to the test, which Vegas has typically struggled with over his career. However, his putter is capable of gaining strokes sporadically, which may be what his results hinge on this week.
