Nicolas Claxton Returning To Brooklyn
2 years agoRestricted free-agent forward/center Nicolas Claxton is returning to Brooklyn, agreeing to a two-year, $20 million contract. After Houston had expressed interest, the Nets will retain a player with a tremendous upside moving ahead. He finished the 2021-22 season by averaging 8.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks throughout 47 games, although he played a bit better during his 19 appearances in the starting lineup. Nevertheless, with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving potentially on their way out of Brooklyn, Claxton could see a noticeable bump in all fantasy categories this season. However, his free throw shooting needs to improve, and he also must figure out how to play through injuries, which have hindered his development over the years.
