2 years agoAfter a one-on-one discussion with Christiaan Bezuidenhout's trainer at the John Deere Classic, he mentioned that Bezuidenhout has gained a full club worth of distance recently and can hit his driver further than his on-course metrics portray. The reason this has yet to come to fruition on the course is because the distance he has picked up off the tee, still leaves him with a carry yardage that will not fly most fairway bunkers which are roughly 295-305 yards from most tee boxes. However, Bezuidenhout may be forced to show off his disguised distance at a lengthy Renaissance Club this week. The rest of his game has sporadic upside, with his last five starts resulting in a T12, MC, T15, MC, and T2.--Byron Lindeque
