PrizePicks MLB DFS Prop Picks for Fantasy Baseball - Tuesday July 12th

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2022 MLB season is alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of.

PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

MLB DFS Prop Picks for 7/12/22

Dylan Cease under 7.0 strikeouts - Dylan Cease is a machine and can usually hit this prop in most matchups, but he will have a very difficult matchup against the Guardians in this one. Cleveland has posted just a 16.3% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which is second-best in baseball. They have also posted a wRC+ mark 114, which should also give Cease some issues. He also faced Cleveland back on April 21st and only managed to strike out three batters across 5 1/3 innings pitched while allowing four earned runs.

Gerrit Cole over 7.5 strikeouts - This is a high threshold, but Cole is a horse in a terrific matchup and has managed to go over this total in eight starts this season. He will be facing the Rds who have posted the second-highest K rate against righties over the previous two weeks with a rate of 31%. They have also posted just an 82 wRC+ mark over that same span as well as a walk rate of just 4.4%.

Luis Garcia over 6.0 strikeouts -  We have done well attacking the Angels, so we might as well continue the trend. The Angels continue to post the highest K rate in baseball against right-handers over the previous two weeks with a rate of 31.7%. They are also posting just a 5.4% walk rate and an awful wRC+ of 54 during that same span. Garcia has managed to hit or eclipse this prop total in four of his previous five starts.

Chris Sale over 4.5 strikeouts - I am not going to lie and pretend I know what Chris Sale is going to do tonight as he is likely going to be on a pitch count, but the matchup is solid for this K prop. Currently, the Rays are striking out at a clip of 29.8% vs. lefties over the previous two weeks, which is ranked second-worst behind only the Angels. Even when Sale struggled last season, he managed to strike out 52 batters across 42 2/3 innings pitched, so five in this game is not very far-fetched.

Other Recommendations - Josiah Gray over 5.0 strikeouts, Corey Seager over 1.5 total bases, Graham Ashcraft over 3.5 earned runs allowed
