2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals left-hander Steven Matz (shoulder) will be activated from the injured list on Sunday. He will be the team's starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. The 31-year-old has been out since late May due to a left shoulder impingement. He's struggled so far in his first season with the Cardinals. Over nine starts, he's gone 3-3 with a 6.03 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP. However, he pitched well during his rehab stint at Triple-A, allowing just nine hits, three walks and three earned runs over 12.2 innings while recording 17 strikeouts.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
