2 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. was removed in the second inning of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. In his first and only at-bat of the game, which came in the first inning, he hit a single. After the single, he wound up stealing second base and tagging up to third base. He may have suffered an injury at some point while running the bases, but the team has yet to provide a reason for his removal. Nicky Lopez took over at shortstop to begin the second inning. We should have an update on Witt's status soon, so make sure to stay tuned.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
