With Treylon Burks still on the board in the 2022 NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans decided to trade A.J. Brown and his contract demands to the Philadelphia Eagles. By doing so, they moved on from an elite receiver to the potential of a rookie.
Mike Vrabel was not happy. Nor were many Titans fans. Despite this, the team made the decision and will have to live with the choice.
After rookie mini camps, the prevailing sentiment surrounding the move was not good. Asthma and conditioning were in question for the rookie. Burks and fans were even more disillusioned. More importantly, fantasy managers, who were already worried about the production of A.J. Brown in the Titans offense, now had to worry about a rookie being the WR 1.

Treylon Burks 2022 Fantasy Football Outlook
According to ADP in .5 ppr, 12-team drafts, Burks is going off the board as WR 55 with the tenth pick of round 12. At this price, he is a wonderful dart throw.
Early reports from Tennessee Titans training camp are far more positive than after rookie camps immediately following the draft. Many rookies come into rookie camps in not excellent condition. Not only were they training all off-season for combine-specific tasks, but they were also wined, dined, and pampered leading up to the draft.
This does not allow for the best regiment. After being drafted and training for the past three months properly, Burks, as expected, has come into training camp in much better shape. It has shown during workouts.
Although Robert Woods is coming over from a new team and has yet to be cleared from his torn ACL injury suffered last season with the Los Angeles Rams, he is still being drafted much higher. We do not know yet when Woods will be ready but his current draft price of the late seventh round as WR 34 implies a lot of positivity. I would much rather wait for five more rounds and take Burks.
Where Should I Draft Treylon Burks In Fantasy Football?
The nature of the Tennessee Titans offense means Derrick Henry is the player you most want to roster. Ryan Tannehill is coming off his worst game as a Titan with three brutal interceptions early against the Cincinnati Bengals in the playoffs. But this is not the true Tannehill. He will rebound and he will need Burks and Woods to step forward to do it.
For all fantasy managers, the least costly way to take a chance on the Titans' pass game is with the rookie. Instead of using a seventh-round pick on Woods, Take a flier on Burks in the 12th. It could win you a season. If not? I would rather waste a 12th-round pick than a seventh. So should you.
