DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Saturday Late Night Week 1 Daily College Fantasy Football (9/3/22)

Had enough? I didn't think so! Me either. Let's close this night out right with three west coast games. These are not bottom-of-the-barrel games either. We have three really good ones here.

Boise State heads to Corvallis, where many a good team has fallen victim to Reser Stadium magic. Washington hosts a Kent team that is nearly still intact from last year sans Dustin Crum. We close out on the islands with Western Kentucky heading to paradise...and it really might be paradise after seeing what Vandy did to the Warriors in Week 0.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/3/22 locking at 10:30 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Austin Reed, Western Kentucky ($9,300)

Okay...so he's not Bailey Zappe. We couldn't reasonably expect him to be. Reed still had a strong game in the opener with 279 yards and four touchdowns to go with one interception. The Warriors got gashed on the ground more than the air by the Commodores, but I think that has more to do with the skill set of Mike Wright. Reed should have another strong game here.

Michael Penix, Washington ($7,900)

We saw some electric games from Penix in his career at Indiana. He is the jumper cables that Washington has been looking for to make their offense go again. They will here, at least for one game. I'll pay up at both quarterback slots on this slate. There is sneaky value elsewhere.

Also consider: Chance Nolan, Oregon State ($6,200): Collin Schlee, Kent State ($5,900)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Wayne Taulapapa, Washington ($6,100)

The Virginia transfer wasn't getting many reps for the Hoos, but that should change here. I'm not totally sold on Washington's offensive overhaul, but Taulapapa is a big back that can get some tough yards. He might just bulldoze Kent here. He definitely has the size to do just that.

George Holani, Boise State ($5,500)

We all know what Hank Bachmeier is by now. The Broncos are going to need Holani to do what he does best to stay in this game. Holani was also a big part of the passing game last season which increases his value even more. The lack of touchdowns is a bit of an issue, but for this price, I'm not going to complain.

Deshaun Fenwick, Oregon State ($4,400)

The Beavers love to use their backs. The South Carolina transfer appears to have won the starting job and is a huge bargain at this price. Fenwick went over 100 rushing yards against Washington State last year and topped 50 a few times as well as a backup. I'm excited to see what he can do back in a starting role.

Also consider: Davion Ervin-Poindexter, Western Kentucky ($5,600); Marquez Cooper, Kent State ($5,400); Dedrick Parson, Hawaii ($5,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Malachi Corley, Western Kentucky ($8,400)

Corley caught three of the four touchdown passes that Austin Reed threw in the opener. He's the guy that Reed is going to look to the most. If you still have money to spend on receivers, make sure you have a Reed-Corley stack.

Daewood Davis, Western Kentucky ($5,800)

Davis had the other touchdown and led the Hilltoppers with 124 receiving yards. This offense is fully capable of hosting two successful receivers. Considering Hawaii allowed 63 points to Vanderbilt, I'm pretty high on the Hilltoppers on the islands as well.

Jonah Panoke, Hawaii ($4,900)

Despite continued upheaval at quarterback for Hawaii (they have three guys taking first-team reps in practice this week), Panoke emerged as the best receiver for the Warriors. The native son had seven catches for 101 yards in the opener against Vanderbilt. They all look to Panoke, so I love him at this price point.

Also consider: Stefan Cobbs, Boise State ($6,200); Rome Odunze, Washington ($5,900); Dante Cephas, Kent State ($5,500); Dior Scott, Hawaii ($3,100)
