Week 2 almost feels like a letdown after the huge games and theatrics of Week 1. I'm not worried. We're still going to have some great DFS action this weekend if nothing else. We start it off with a pair of FBS vs. FBS games on Friday.
We begin with Louisville heading down to the Bounce House to face UCF. It was the Louisville game that altered the course of UCF football for the rest of 2021 and 2022 as well since Dillon Gabriel transferred to Oklahoma. We close it off with Boise in Las Cruces to take on the Lobos. This is definitely going to be an interesting slate.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/9/22 locking at 7:30 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
John Rhys Plumlee, Central Florida ($8,900)
Look... I know it was South Carolina State, but we saw what Plumlee is capable of in this offense. After seeing what fellow dual-threat quarterback Garrett Shrader of Syracuse just did to Louisville, I'd be crazy not to think that Plumlee has by far the highest ceiling on the slate. Malik Cunningham racked up 35.5 DraftKings points against UCF in the upset last year, but he did not look good in the first game. Plumlee feels like the safer pick even though Cunningham might have more upside.
Taylen Green, Boise State ($4,500)
There is no guarantee that Green will start this game, but after his performance compared to Hank Bachmeier in Week 1, I tend to think that worst case scenario for Green is that they both play. Any playing time for a minimum-priced quarterback, especially when he outplayed the starter the week before, has my attention and should have yours as well in GPP formats.
Also consider: Malik Cunningham, Louisville ($8,300); Miles Kendrick, New Mexico ($5,300)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Tiyon Evans, Louisville ($6,400)
Evans was the unquestioned lead back for Louisville considering the backup only tallied one carry. The bad news? Malik Cunningham toted the ball as much as Evans did. I feel that Louisville will go the more conventional method of running the football against UCF. Maybe not, but at the very least, Evans is going to get a good number of carries. He's probably the safest option in a RB slot that is full of land mines on our Friday.
Ashton Jeanty, Boise State ($4,900)
Boise has a lot of things to figure out against the Lobos. One of them is whether the freshman Jeanty deserves more playing time backing up George Holani. My guess is that Holani will remain the starter, but I see no reason for Jeanty not to see plenty of carries against an overmatched New Mexico team. I wouldn't be shocked if both Holani and Jeanty ended up being optimal in this one.
Also consider: Isaiah Bowser, Central Florida ($6,500); George Holani, Boise State ($5,200); Sherod White, New Mexico ($4,700)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Javon Baker, Central Florida ($7,300)
Ryan O'Keefe is still more expensive and that's likely based on the fact that O'Keefe gets some carries out of the backfield. That's not enough for me to pay for him over Baker. I don't mind using both together, but if only using one UCF receiver, I'm going Baker. He led the Knights in targets in Week 1 and caught a touchdown. That's good enough for me.
Tyler Hudson, Louisville ($6,400)
One of the few questions that the Cardinals don't have coming out of Week 1 is who is going to be Cunningham's favorite receiver? Hudson was electric in the loss to the Orange and the only Louisville player that had any kind of consistency. He's the guy you want against UCF.
Geordan Porter, New Mexico ($5,000)
Porter was the favorite target of Miles Kendrick in the opener. In a game in which the Lobos are going to have to throw to try and keep up, I like the upside of Porter. Oregon State shredded the Broncos' defense last week. There is a path to some fantasy success for the Lobos.
Also consider: Ryan O'Keefe, Central Florida ($8,000); Ahmari Huggins-Bruce, Louisville ($5,300); Stefan Cobbs, Boise State ($5,300); Luke Wysong, New Mexico ($4,100)
