We have a new piece here at RotoBaller to highlight those college football players that are turning heads at the collegiate level that could be playing for your favorite team, and fantasy team, sometime very soon. You don't want the first time you hear of a player being their name called at the NFL draft, right?
We are going to help you get acclimated with these college players earlier than many of your fantasy football leaguemates. We here at RotoBaller are all about giving you an advantage.
I will highlight one quarterback, one running back, and one wide receiver in every week of the college season that put up some really big numbers and let you know what it means for your dynasty leagues. Do these guys have NFL futures? You'll find out!

Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Quarterbacks
Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland (27-31, 391 yards, 4 TD vs. Charlotte)
If the name sounds familiar, it should. His older brother won titles at Alabama and is now the leader of the Miami Dolphins. Taulia started at Bama, but transferred out from his brother's shadow. If you listen to Tua at all, he was always saying his little brother was a better player than himself. He may have been right.
Taulia had as many incompletions as touchdowns in this one. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes and he has some really good receivers at Maryland to help beef up those stat lines. This likely won't be the first time I feature Taulia here. He'll be on an NFL team sometime in April.
Honorable mention: Frank Harris, UTSA; Bo Nix, Oregon
Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Running Backs
Khalan Laborn, Marshall (31 carries, 163 yards, TD vs. Notre Dame)
Laborn carried the Herd to an improbable win in South Bend. Perhaps what makes this performance so impressive is that Laborn hadn't played college football since 2019. He suffered a knee injury in 2018 and was dismissed from the Florida State team for a violation of team rules in 2019.
Fast-forward 33 months and Laborn, a former five-star recruit and the top overall back in the state of Virginia in his 2017 class, has finally matured enough to get down to the business of playing football. His tumultuous Florida State career was made worse due to Jimbo Fisher jumping ship and Willie Taggart playing lemming and driving the program off a cliff.
Will Laborn be able to salvage his career? I don't know, but a performance like this against a stout Notre Dame defense is something to keep an eye on.
Honorable mention: Evan Hull, Northwestern; Raheim Sanders, Arkansas
Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Wide Receivers
Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State (7 receptions, 184 yards, 3 TD vs. Arkansas State)
Another son of an NFL Hall-of-Famer makes our list this week. It was Jaxon Smith-Njigba who came out of nowhere for the Buckeyes last year and gave them three outstanding receivers. Now with Smith-Njigba sidelined, we get a chance to see that yes, the second coming of Marvin Harrison appears to be as good as the first.
Per NFL rules, Harrison will have to toil away in college for one more season before making the big bucks, but performances like this will be commonplace. Harrison is four inches taller than his father, but he has those great hands we saw from Senior at Syracuse and then with the Colts.
His father was drafted 19th overall by the Colts in 1996. Junior might be an even better prospect before his time at Ohio State is done. His father had the benefit of an electric quarterback at Syracuse with Donovan McNabb. C.J. Stroud has the same electricity about him. Enjoy the show from this duo!
Honorable mention: Bryce Ford-Wheaton, West Virginia; Darion Chafin, Incarnate Word
Be sure to stay tuned all season long to see these coming attractions!
