MLB Sundays aren't quite NFL Sundays, but man are they still hard to beat. Brunch, early beer, and juicy-fat slates that start at 1 PM. Today is no exception, RotoBallers, as we have a 12 game main slate on both sites ripe for the picking.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/16/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider
Rich Hill, LOS at MIA (DK - $11,900, FD - $8,800)
What a rebound Rich Hill has experienced over the last month. In his last three starts (7 IP in each) he has totaled three QS, a 27:3 K:BB, and has only allowed four ER. Over the last 30 days his 11.7 K/9 is higher than any other SP on today's slate, while his 26.4 Hard% is the lowest on the slate. The Marlins are no cakewalk for southpaws, but I am riding the hottest hand today- plus Alex Wood held the fish to just one run in last nights contest. The low price on FanDuel leaves plenty of room for a Houston-level stack, but unfortunately you're having to give up a kidney over on DraftKings.
Zack Godley, ARI at ATL (DK - $8,700, FD - $8,500)
Godley has become Mr. Consistent for DFS players, as he has now earned Quality Starts in 8 or 11 tries and has yet to allow over three runs in an outing. Even in the three "non-QS" starts, he only allowed a combined four runs, but failed to reach the 6 IP qualifying mark. Over the last 30 days (25.1 IP), he is rocking a 10.3 K/9, 55.4 GB%, and a 2.67 FIP. He is also holding opponents to a .161 BA over that span, which is the lowest of all SP on the main slate. Generally I would be a little worrisome about my pitcher in SunTrust Park, but the man owns a 2.51 ERA at Chase Field this season...so I think he can manage. Possible bad weather could scare others away from this play today, but growing up in North Georgia myself I have come to learn two things: no weather forecast is ever correct in GA, and even if one of their infamous pop-up thunderstorms does show up- those things get on out of there in a hurry.
Anibal Sanchez, DET vs TOR (DK - $6,700, FD - $7,200)
I'm going to give you some Last 30 stats for a mysterious unnamed SP:
23.1 IP, 8.49 K/9, 2.72 FIP, .186 BAA, 29.7 Hard%.
If these stats weren't in a paragraph directly under Anibal Sanchez's name- I bet if given 50 tries we wouldn't have guessed it was him. I know that was a lame game so let's continue. In his four starts since returning to the rotation, Sanchez has earned three QS, 22:4 K:BB, and has averaged just two ER per outing. He has pitched very well against the current Blue Birds, holding them to a combined .235/.292/.336 slash with only three HR in 169 PA. Sanchez won't blow you away with FP today, but at his price on DraftKings he will surely return value while easing your salary cap after slotting Rich Hill or Yu Darvish at SP1. Unlike the weather in Atlanta, I am a little worried about delays in Detroit today. This would be one to monitor all morning.
Also Consider: Mike Fiers, HOU vs MIN (DK - $7,300, FD - $8,100)
DFS Infielders to Consider
Catcher (C)
Brian McCann, HOU vs MIN (DK - $3,600, FD - $3,000)
DFS Rule 14.2: When in doubt, pick the guy going against Kyle Gibson. Gibson is allowing a .321/.401/.555 slash to LHB this season, and is carrying a 7.44 FIP and a sad 4.0 K/9 over the last 30 days.
Also Consider: Alex Avila, DET vs TOR (DK - $3,700, FD - $2,600)
First Base (1B)
Miguel Cabrera vs TOR (DK - $3,200, FD - $3,800)
Miguel Cabrera has dropped to $3,200 on DraftKings, and is coming off a 37.6 FP (FD) performance. His overall stat line doesn't look like what we have become accustomed to seeing, but at home this season he is hitting .298/.371/.565. His opponent Marco Estrada owns a 7.78 ERA over the last 30 days, with an absurd 56.9 flyball percentage. If you're playing on FanDuel today however, I'd much rather save the $ and go with Bellinger or Ryan Zimmerman.
Also Consider: Cody Bellinger, LOS at MIA (DK - $4,500, FD - $3,500)
Second Base (2B)
Scooter Gennett, CIN vs WSH (DK - $4,200, FD - $3,200)
I love playing the Reds in DFS, and I especially love Great American Ballpark. Poor Tanner Roark is GAB's next victim, as he enters today's contest with a 9.72 ERA and a .324 BAA over the last 30 days. He also has been absolutely smashed by LHB this season. This lines up very nicely for Mr. Four HR Scooter Gennett, who owns a 1.055 OPS versus RHP and a .951 OPS at home this season. For his career, Gennett is 5-15 with a HR against Roark.
Shortstop (SS)
Addison Russell, CHC at BAL (DK - $3,800, FD - $2,600)
The All-Star Break seemed to have done the Cubbies quite a bit of good, considering they've scored 19 runs in the two games since returning. Russell has been no exception, hitting HR in each of those contests. Of course they have been facing the Orioles rotation, but we're not going to hold that against them especially with Ubaldo Jimenez on the bump today. Jimenez has been effective against RHB this season, but considering the price and Russell's sexy road splits, the value is too good to pass up.
Third Base (3B)
Anthony Rendon, WSH at CIN (DK - $4,600, FD - $3,800)
Here we are, back at Great American Ballpark. I am expecting quite the fireworks display today during this Homer Bailey-Roark batting practice session. Over the last month, few players are hotter than Rendon. During this span (20 G) he owns a 1.164 OPS with six HR and seven doubles. Just yesterday he went absolutely nuts and hit two bombs and plated six runs. Bailey has surely righted the ship in his past two starts, but we all remember the 8 run onslaught he suffered at the hands of these Nationals in his first start of the season last month.
DFS Outfielders to Consider
J.D. Martinez vs TOR (DK - $4,200, FD - $3,700)
There are a plethora of great OF options in the higher priced tiers for today's slate, which I'm hoping means JD slips under the radars. Like Miggy, he is coming off a monster performance which included a double, HR, and five RBI yesterday. Also like his teammate, he has loved hitting in Comerica Park this season, owning a 1.105 OPS with 19 XBH in 29 games at home.
Marwin Gonzalez, HOU vs MIN (DK - $4,400, FD - $3,600)
See DFS Rules 14.2. But seriously, start Marwin Gonzalez today. He is one of the few souls out there that performs better at Minute Maid Park. At home this season, he owns a 1.055 OPS. Against RHP this season, he owns a 1.039 OPS. I don't know if you've checked in on his stat line for the season lately, but he's still hitting .315 and has 17 dingers.
Adam Jones, BAL vs CHC (DK - $4,200, FD - $3,100)
You gotta love that price on FanDuel. Jose Quintana is making his Cubs debut today, and it just so happens that it's an inter-league contest against a foe he's already faced this season with the White Sox. I generally like to include at least one BvP stud in the mix per slate, and today it's Adam Jones. For his career, Jones is 8-14 with two doubles and two HR against Quintana.
Also Consider: Jake Marisnick, HOU vs MIN (DK - $3,400, FD - $2,400)
