6 years agoPeople often forget that Hideki Matsuyama is only 26 years old and has played in just 23 total Majors. Often in sports, everyone tries to figure out who the next superstar of their particular game is and crown them as the future. But in the case of an athlete like Matsuyama, when he doesn't achieve the success that the general public expected of them, they quickly become discounted or even worse, completely forgotten. Matsuyama comes into the Open Championship this year flying as out of sight as maybe ever in his career. The five-time PGA Tour winner is currently a 40/1 mid-tier betting selection, according to the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.
