6 years agoWebb Simpson fired a three-under par at Carnoustie, finishing in a share of 12th place. The 12th place finish marks the best Major finish for Simpson outside of a U.S. Open venue. Simpson has posted two top-10s at the U.S. Open in his career, which includes a victory at the 2012 U.S. Open held at Olympic Club in San Francisco, California. The American has had a resurgence on tour in 2018. He has climbed 17 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings and won the world-renowned Players Championship.
