FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/12/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

We have a MASSIVE 12-game slate tonight, which is one of the most we've seen this side of the All-Star break, so there are plenty of options to pick from. If you are playing multiple lineups tonight, you will have a great time matching line stacks since we are in for plenty of offense.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/12/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Vladimir Tarasenko - W, STL vs NJ (FD - $8,300, DK - $6,700)

Tarasenko is finally looking like himself in recent games and now has another favorable matchup to continue this recent trend of production. He has an eight-game point streak going right now and is now up against the Devils, who come in with a 58 Corsi Against, which is seventh worst in the league. That means the Devils are giving up a significant amount of shots every game, which should provide Tarasneko plenty of opportunities to score. You should be looking for the opportunities in NHL DFS since that is where the production will eventually come from.

Sebastian Aho - C, CAR @ OTT (FD - $7,300, DK - $7,300)

Aho is sneaky one of the most consistent players in NHL DFS and comes in with a fantastic matchup tonight which should make him cash game viable tonight. Aho and the Hurricanes are facing off against the Senators who are dead last in the league in Corsi Against, which lines up perfectly for Aho since the Hurricanes lead the league in Corsi For. All this means that the Senators are essentially giving up the most shot attempts per game, while the Hurricanes have the most shots attempts per game. He should be one of the most popular plays on the slate due to this matchup.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Zach Werenski - D, CLS vs WAS (FD - $4,800, DK - $,200)

Werenski and the Blue Jackets are up against the Capitals who are on the second night of a back to back and come in allowing the second most high-danger scoring chances per 60. This should provide the Blue Jackets and the top power-play, which Werenski is on, to thrive tonight. He has two points in his last three games and comes in averaging over two shots per game, along with over one blocked shot per game.

Colin Miller - D, VGK vs ARI (FD - $3,600, DK - $4,000)

Love the savings that Miller brings tonight and even though he is on the third defensive pairing, he is up on the first power-play unit for the Golden Knights, who have a solid matchup versus the Coyotes tonight. He comes in with an assist in each of his last two games, along with seven shots and three blocked shots in that span. From a point per dollar side of things, he might be one of the best players on the slate for a floor and ceiling combination.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Tuukka Rask - G, BOS vs CHI (FD - $9,000, DK - $8,200)

Rask is one of the most expensive goalies on the slate tonight and that is due to the fact he comes in as a -200 home favorite against the Blackhawks. He should be in play for cash games tonight, as he is a winner of three straight starts, allowing just five goals in that span. His upside might be a bit limited since the Bruins are one of the better teams in the league at preventing shots, so he won't have as many chances to rack up saves.
