6 years agoSince January of last year, Rory McIlroy has played his way into the last group of the final round eight times but has failed to emerge triumphant in any of those situations. On Sunday in Mexico, McIlroy continued that trend with a five-shot defeat to Dustin Johnson. The 29-year-old has been brilliant in his four PGA Tour starts this season, finishing inside the top-five in every start, but his inability to find the winner's circle has been frustrating.
