6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Tyus Jones re-entered the starting lineup for Tuesday’s loss to the Denver Nuggets after both Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose were ruled out. Jones’ minutes spiked back up, allowing him to shoot 7-for-10 from the floor overall, leading to a season-high-tying 16-point effort. Jones has started just three games since the New Year, figuring to continue seeing a heavy workload should both Teague and Rose miss Thursday’s contest with the Utah Jazz. Check back for the status on both Minnesota regulars as Jones becomes a must-play if they sit and an asset to stay away from if they both suit up.--Jesse Borek
