We have a 9-game slate tonight with a few lopsided favorites, along with some games with over-under set at six or higher. There should be plenty of scoring to go around tonight and plenty of options for both cash games or GPPs.
Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/16/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider
Patrick Kane - W, CHI @ MON (FD - $9,000, DK - $7,900)
They call him showtime for a reason and that's because he puts up a great performance every night in real hockey and in DFS, so let's take a look why. The first thing that should be made clear is that the Blackhawks need to be winning games as they are six points out of the playoffs. Next, Kane comes in with five points in his last four games, along with 13 shots in that span, which is the production we've seen from him all season. The over-under is sitting at 6.5 goals in this game, so we are certainly expecting plenty of scoring here and Kane should have a big hand in that.
Jack Eichel - C, BUF @ CAR (FD - $8,200, DK - $6,900)
Eichel is set to return from the two-game suspension that he was very unhappy about and you should be expecting him to come out juiced up and make a statement. He is facing off against the Hurricanes who are on the second night of a back to back and will likely have Curtis McElhinney in net who has allowed 12 goals in his last two games. Eichel is more of a GPP play tonight since the matchup isn't amazing on paper, so look to use him in a stack or as a one-off.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Dmitry Orlov - D, WAS @ TB (FD - $4,300, DK - $3,600)
Orlov and the Capitals are in for an absolutely amazing game to watch and one we want to be targeting in DFS. This is due to the fact they are up against the Lightning and we have an over-under set at seven for this game, which is super high for the NHL. If you are playing one lineup tonight, or you are rolling out 50 lineups tonight, you WANT some exposure to this game, simply due to the potential upside from scoring. Orlov is a great cheap option tonight who has five assists, nine shots, and seven blocked shots over his last five games, which is surprisingly strong for a player under $4K on DK tonight.
Charlie McAvoy - D, BOS vs CLS (FD - $4,800, DK - $4,600)
McAvoy is on the cheaper side across the industry and since Torey Krug is still out for the Bruins, he is playing up on the top power-play unit. He comes in with five points in his last five games, along with nine shots in that span, which puts him on the border for cash games tonight. The matchup isn't amazing, but I'm fully expecting the Bruins to snap their three-game losing streak and pick up the win at home. Looking for a bit of Good Luck Chuck tonight and pick up some points.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Devan Dubnyk - G, MIN vs NYR (FD - $8,200, DK - $8,000)
Dubnyk and the Wild come in as -220 home favorites, as they are up against the Rangers who are on the second night of a back to back along with being one of the weaker teams in the league. For his price on FanDuel, he is actually too cheap looking at it from a matchup-based salary, but since he has allowed three or more goals in four of his last five, we see him a bit cheaper tonight. The Rangers come in with an expected Corsi For set at 43.6, which is the second lowest on the slate. He won't be under a ton of pressure tonight but should come away with the win.
