Steven Matz Officially Activated For Saturday Start
6 years agoThe New York Mets officially activated starter Steven Matz for Saturday's game versus the Miami Marlins sending down Paul Sewald in a corresponding move. Matz has been on the IL over the last couple of weeks with a forearm injury and returns in a juicy matchup against an uninspiring Marlins team. This matchup makes him seem like a worthy starter in DFS and season-long leagues although his outing may be shortened so he should be avoided depsite the good matchup. Matz has a 3.86 ERA, and 1.20 WHIP in seven starts this year as he's shown flashes of brilliance as well as some frustrating moments. The southpaw is better utilized as a streamer in mixed-leagues until we see some more game-to-game consistency.
