David Price "Feeling Better" After Cortisone Shot
5 years agoBoston Red Sox starter David Price received a cortisone shot on his injured wrist that forced him to the IL earlier this week. He stated he's "feeling better" and was able to do some exercises, but manager Alex Cora has yet to give a timetable for a return. Price said he felt the issue four starts ago, which makes sense since he's served up 20 runs since then, upping his ERA from 3.16 to 4.36 in this span. The 33-year-old has returned better results in the strikeout column this season punching out 126 batters in 105.1 IP, but may not be able to help fantasy teams down the stretch run. Owners should hang onto him for the time being, but don't be surprised if the Red Sox fall out of contention and choose to take it slow with the veteran left-hander.
