Blake Snell Felt Good After Playing Catch
5 years agoTampa Bay Rays starter Blake Snell said he felt good after playing catch for the first time since undergoing surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow at the end of July. He still hopes to pitch again this year which will likely be in early or mid-September. The results haven't been as stunning for the reigning Cy Young winner this season, but he's still managed to strike out batters at an incredible rate. His 32.9% K-rate ranks fifth-best in the league, but his 4.28 ERA is nowhere near the 1.89 mark he put up last season. Owners should hold on to Snell for the duration as he could still provide value in the final weeks of the season.
