FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/11/20): Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice

Tuesday features a large 11-game main slate with Florida in New Jersey, Arizona in Toronto, and a gong show clash between Chicago and Edmonton.

Remember, when looking around for plays, an over/under of 6 dictates offense, but an over/under of 5 or sometimes 5.5 tilts towards the goalies. There are several games at 6.5, as that has become the new norm in hockey now.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/11/20. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @ChrisWasselDFS. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Nathan MacKinnon - C, COL vs OTT (FD - $8,800, DK - $8,500)

MacKinnon is too easy of a pick here and can be stacked with players like Ryan Graves or Ian Cole to save some money. Most will be heavily on Jack Eichel and Auston Matthews which is understandable given the matchups. MacKinnon faces an Ottawa team that allows 35+ shots per 60 and 3.7 goals per game on the road. This could be one of those games where Colorado's maligned power play gets well. Also, remember, that Connor McDavid is still questionable (knee) at press time.

Artemi Panarin - W, NYR vs WPG (FD - $8,200, DK - $7,900)

The winger gets shots on net to the tune of almost four per contest. Panarin has 12 points over his last ten games including four goals on 38 shots. He has 18 power-play points on the season going against a Winnipeg team with a home penalty kill of just 74.8%. Panarin can be stacked with a Tony DeAngelo or Adam Fox to save a little bit of money tonight. Or, the Rangers' winger can be used as a one-off because of his floor.

Also, Consider:

  • Patrick Kane has just one goal on his last 38 shots (ten assists though). One has the feeling, the goal pendulum will swing the other way soon.
  • Patrik Laine (nine goals in nine games) becomes an excellent option on Tuesday. Also, Kyle Palmieri is up against a tired Florida team at home.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Oscar Klefbom - D, EDM vs CHI (FD - $5,400, DK - $6,400)

This is a solid option on Tuesday partially because Chicago allows so many points to DFS defensemen (sixth-highest on the road). Also, Klefbom's FanDuel price is hard to ignore on this night. The Blackhawks allow almost 37 shots per 60 on the road in Robin Lehner starts. Yes, Lehner is expected to start in net for the Blackhawks tonight. Again, the Edmonton defenseman's floor is around 4.5 and he has six assists in the previous nine outings.

Ryan Pulock - D, NYI vs DAL (FD - $4,900, DK - $5,700)

Pulock has seen his floor improve over the past ten games. He suddenly has 23 shots on net in that span and quite a few assists with several posts hit. The increased shot volume is nice but now he is averaging over 2 blocks a game too. That combined floor of around 4.5 shots and blocked shots per night is an improvement. If Pulock could just score a goal, that would do wonders for his confidence and DFS aspirations going forward. He does have eight assists in his last nine contests at least.

  • Simply if Jakob Chychrun will be that softly priced all year on FanDuel, why not keep playing him.
  • Adam Fox against a poor penalty kill in Winnipeg may be worth a shot at a value price.
  • Yes, Damon Severson is worth a shot at home against Florida.

DFS Goalie to Consider

MacKenzie Blackwood - G, NJ vs FLA  (FD - $7,400, DK - $7,400)

The goalie has back to back shutouts while facing 83 shots the past two games. This is quite risky given Florida's offensive potential but they are not rested. It will be interesting to see how New Jersey comes out after two nights off. Blackwood's price has stayed mostly steady too which adds to the appeal of this play despite New Jersey's adventures at home (8-9-10 overall with 3.3 goals allowed per game). On the bright side, New Jersey does have points in six straight games.

  • The other good GPP choice on Tuesday night is simply Tristan Jarry against Tampa Bay. That is provided Jarry starts. He did bounce back hugely in Florida on Saturday night stopping 33 of 35 shots in the victory.
