Joe Panik Cracks Blue Jays 40-Man Roster
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Joe Panik has officially made the team’s 40-man roster, with reliever Yennsy Diaz getting placed on the 60-day IL in a corresponding move. Panik had an opt-out in his contract, but the club purchased it to give them more depth in their infield. The 29-year-old hit .244 across 142 games split between the Giants and Mets, and has just nine homers and eight steals over his past two seasons combined. He doesn’t offer much in the fantasy game other than some middling counting stats, so he can be ignored in all formats.
