5 years agoGolden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (knee) appears to be on track to return for next season. Thompson is still recovering from an ACL tear and doesn't plan on playing during the 2019-2020 season. It sounds like Thompson is feeling good and should be back to full speed by the beginning of next season. The Warriors have no incentive to bring back Thompson this season. It's unclear when the NBA is going to resume play, but Thompson will be ready next season regardless.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

3 years agoGolden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson (knee) has been upgraded from questionable to probable for Game 2 against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. The veteran is currently battling right knee soreness. It's unclear when he first sustained the injury, but it's unrelated to the ACL tear in his left knee that kept him sidelined for over a year. Thompson struggled in Game 1, shooting just 6-for-19 from the field over 31 minutes. He did, however, contribute three assists, two steals and one block in the game.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller

3 years agoGolden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (knee) is questionable ahead of Tuesday's playoff meeting with Memphis. The sharpshooter is currently dealing with right knee soreness. Fortunately, it's not the same one he injured during the 2019 NBA Finals. Thompson's s current ailment seemingly came out of nowhere, so his name popping up on the injury report is likely only a formality. However, if he can't play, Gary Payton II and Jordan Poole will likely benefit the most.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

3 years agoGolden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson made sure to finish off the regular season on a good note. He dropped 41 points, three rebounds, two assists, seven triples in 31 minutes during Sunday's victory over the New Orleans Pelicans. This is the most points Thompson has scored since January of 2019. He has now scored at least 30 points in four of his last six games. The Warriors secured the three seed with the victory on Sunday. Thompson is finding his groove with the postseason about to begin.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

3 years agoGolden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (rest) will suit up for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Thompson missed their previous game for rest purposes, but will get back in action on Sunday. The Warriors need to win this game in order to lock up the third seed. Damion Lee is likely to head to the bench with Thompson returning. Although, Lee should still have relevance in fantasy formats with a majority of the starting unit hitting the sideline.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
