FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (8/31/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

The postseason has been filled with some exciting contests, and as a new week begins, Monday should be just as entertaining. As the Heat and Bucks kick off its series in the Eastern Conference semi-finals, the Thunder will look to avoid being eliminated by the Rockets, with the winner of this Western Conference series set to take on the Lakers, a team that made relatively short work of the Trail Blazers during the opening round.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/31/20. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Khris Middleton, SG - vs. MIA ($6,800)

Middleton didn't have a good start to the postseason and struggled during the first three games against the Magic. Nonetheless, he managed to shake off his rough shooting performances by hitting a double-double in Games 4 and 5. He has played well against the Heat all season and has a solid change to produce, even though he will likely be shadowed by Jimmy Butler for a significant portion of the contest.

Goran Dragic, PG @ MIA ($6,500)

Dragic has been instrumental to the Heat's success thus far this postseason. From Game 2 on during the series against the Pacers, he played at least 31 minutes and dipped below 34.5 fantasy points just once during that span. He has played well against Milwaukee this season by averaging 20 points, six boards, and five rebounds. Though he has been known to have his struggles from time-to-time, his upside is better than most.

Dennis Schroder, SG - vs. HOU ($6,000)

During Game 5, Schroder looked well on his way to having a convincing fantasy performance. In 21 minutes, the former Atlanta Hawk dropped 19 points despite some shooting woes and made some noise on the defensive end by racking up a block and a steal. However, after an altercation with P.J. Tucker that saw Schroder hit him in the groin, he hit the showers early. While the Rockets are encouraging the league to investigate this incident, as of right now, he should be in the lineup for Game 6. Of course, there is still a chance that he gets suspended, so fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status on Monday.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Bam Adebayo, PF - @ MIL ($8,000)

Adebayo had some stellar performances against the Pacers and accumulated nearly 40 points in three of his four appearances. Although he lacked on the scoring end against the Bucks during the regular season, he averaged almost a triple-double.

Danilo Gallinari, SF - vs. HOU ($5,500)

Gallinari averaged nearly 31 fantasy points throughout the first three games of the series against the Rockets. However, since then, his production has diminished as Hoston looked to tighten things up on the OKC shooters. While the game plan may be the same heading into Game 6, his discounted price makes him a favorable addition to DFS lineups, especially for those who are looking to save some cash for the big names.

Darius Bazley, SF - vs. HOU ($3,600)

For those who aren't sure about the outlook of Danilo Gallinari, Bazley demonstrated that he could produce in Game 5. His efficiency from the field wasn't the best as he went 2-for-10 from that area, but he still put up 10 points in addition to pulling down 12 boards and swatting a shot. With Dennis Schroder likely back in the mix in Game 6, he could see his output diminish; something fantasy managers should keep in mind.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Steven Adams, C - vs. HOU ($5,500)

Though Oklahoma City has gone small more often to match the Houston starting five's quickness, Adams still gets enough action to leave an impression. He nearly has a double-double in every game during the series with Houston and is also averaging 26 fantasy points per contest. With the options limited at the five spot on Monday, Adams may be as good as it gets.
