John Means Earns First Win Of Season Tuesday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means improved to 1-3 in Tuesday's 11-2 drubbing of the Mets. Means pitched six innings, allowing a single run on three hits (including a solo home run) and a walk with five strikeouts. The 27-year-old had an excellent rookie season but has not been able to put it all together this season, compiling a 6.58 ERA with 17 strikeouts and five walks over 26 IP. This start was encouraging, but Means' next start will likely come against the Yankees on the road, a start that fantasy players should avoid until he proves he can pitch more consistently.
