4 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Braxton Garrett made his major league debut in Game 2 of Sunday's double header against the Phillies. Garrett earned the win, tossing five innings while allowing just one run on three hits and two walks. The lefty struck out six along the way and looked in control most of the way through, showing impressive poise for a rookie in the middle of a playoff race. It's unclear whether Garrett will remain on the big league club, although he's certainly a better rotation option than Jose Urena.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
