John Means Strikes Out A Dozen In Sunday Win
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means had his best start of the season in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rays. Means pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing a single run on three hits (including a solo home run) and no walks with 12 strikeouts. The 27-year-old struggled mightily at the beginning of the season but has an impressive 2.74 ERA over four starts in September. Means' next start will be a decent matchup at the Blue Jays and, given how he has pitched lately, he is worth starting for fantasy players.
