4 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Yoshihisa Hirano gave up three runs on three hits and two walks while just recording one out in Sunday's game against the Athletics. That's back-to-back bad outings for Hirano to end the season, giving him a 5.84 ERA and 2.11 WHIP heading into the offseason. Hirano was supposed to be the Mariners closer heading into 2020 but never fully regained that position after starting the year on the COVID-19 list. It will be interesting to see what moves Seattle makes in the offseason, but if all things remain the same, Hirano will be a low-end closer option for 2021.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
