Melvin Gordon III Charged With DUI

4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III was charged with driving under the influence on Tuesday night in Denver. The Broncos released a statement saying: "We are aware of the situation involving Melvin Gordon. Our organization has been in communication with him and is in the process of gathering more details." Gordon was also ticketed for speeding. He's coming off his best game of the season in the Week 4 win over the Jets when he ran the ball 23 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns, but this incident may land him a suspension. Gordon could be looking at a two- or three-game suspension, which would give backfield mate Phillip Lindsay some RB2 upside, beginning in Week 6 against the Patriots.
