DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 1/19/21 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CFB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Here at RotoBaller, we always strive to offer you the best content across multiple DFS platforms - and today we are proud to offer you some NCAA basketball DFS picks! This is the first time in a few years that we've had this DFS content available to our readers, and we hope you like it. We are also very excited to announce that we've brought in Mike Marteny, formerly of FanSided Fantasy, to give you some top-notch college basketball DFS picks!

This is a large slate by college basketball DFS standards. We have nine games tonight with the first batch tipping off at 6:30 PM ET. We have some marquee names on the slate with Duke, Illinois, Florida, Michigan, LSU, and Villanova all in action. We have to come up with three guards, three forwards, and two utility slots for our DraftKings lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/19/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward, and center, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Ayo Dosunmu, Illinois vs. Penn State ($8,800)

If you want the best you have to pay for the best. There are few better than Dosunmu and none better on this slate, at least not at guard. Dosunmu is averaging a cool 39.7 DraftKings points per game and dropped a 50 bomb on Penn State in the first meeting. Dosunmu hasn't played less than 30 minutes in conference play and has scored in double digits in every single game. You want a guy that can stay on the court when you spend this kind of money. Dosunmu does that. The Illinois offense runs through him, giving him the highest usage rate on the team.

Justin Moore, Villanova vs. Seton Hall ($7,700)

As you may have guessed, this is a loaded slate. This is a place where we need to attack matchups. This is one main difference between college and the NBA. In the NBA I rarely move off of a player because of the defensive team they play against. In college, I do it with regularity. If you want to take a shot with a white-hot Xavier Johnson against a team like Duke, it will give you massive leverage. However, running guys at Duke isn't a good path to DFS success. Tonight I will have a lot of exposure to Villanova and Illinois because the perimeter defense of their opponents is severely lacking. Collin Gillespie is the guy that gets most of the attention for Villanova, but Moore is the guy that has the higher floor. He's not just a scorer. Moore contributes across the board.

Myreon Jones, Penn State at Illinois ($6,600)

If you can't afford Dosunmu in your build, this is still a game you want pieces of. Jones shook off a slow start to the season with his first game against the Illini in which he scored 30.75 DraftKings points. The two games since have also seen Jones top the 30 DraftKings point threshold. He doesn't have nearly the ceiling of Dosunmu, but Jones is a strong secondary option and is priced like it. The first matchup saw 179 points scored between the two teams. I don't mind a full game stack of this one either. The priorities besides Dosunmu and Jones are Izaiah Brockington, Kofi Cockburn, and Andre Curbelo in that order.

Ithiel Horton, Pitt ($4,300)

I don't usually target teams like Duke, but I will do so with a lower-priced option. The Delaware transfer has found his shooting stroke after a miserable start to the season. Horton has the ability to put up points in a hurry and has seen more than 35 minutes in three straight games. I don't care what the matchup is, if you have a guy that is that involved in the offense at this price, you take it!

Also consider: Tre Mann, Florida ($8,000); D.J. Stewart, Mississippi State ($6,400); Jordan Goldwire, Duke ($6,200), Jordan Primo, Alabama ($5,700)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Justin Champagnie, Pitt vs. Duke ($9,200)

Champagnie is the highest-priced player on the slate and he is absolutely worth it. Want to know how tough this guy is? Champagnie was supposed to be sidelined for a minimum of six weeks with a knee injury suffered on December 16 against Miami. He came back exactly one month later and laid 51.5 DraftKings points on Syracuse. You may think Duke isn't an elite matchup for Champagnie, but it is. The Blue Devils have struggled defensively so far this season, having held just one team (Bellarmine) under 70 points. That includes games against ACC bottom-feeder Boston College and a Coppin State team that is 4-9 in the MEAC.

Donta Scott, Maryland at Michigan ($7,000)

Hunter Dickinson had a bigger game in the first meeting between these two teams, but Dickinson isn't going to make ten of 11 shots again. Scott is far more consistent than Dickinson and outplayed him except for the hot shooting from the floor in that game. Scott himself picked up 33 DraftKings points in that game, which is a strong return for this price. As a whole, the forwards have tougher matchups tonight with the exception of Pitt. We need production from guys like Scott

Keyshawn Bryant, South Carolina at Missouri ($5,700)

It was a rough start to the season for Bryant. He coupled that with an undisclosed issue that kept him out for over a month. Bryant's return to the court against LSU last week is more what the Gamecocks were expecting from the junior this year. There's a chance that this was just a ceiling game for Bryant, but on the off chance that this is a trend going forward, I'll have some exposure tonight. Bryant was aggressive on both ends of the court, which bodes well for his value going forward.

Also consider: Trendon Watford, LSU ($8,100); Jeremiah Tilmon, Missouri ($6,700); John Harrar, Penn State ($5,200)
