Landry Shamet Enters Starting Five Wednesday
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets shooting guard Landry Shamet has been bumped up to the starting lineup in place of Kyrie Irving (groin) for Wednesday's contest against the Pacers. The start will mark the first for Shamet in a Nets uniform after drawing 30 starts with the Clippers last year. It's been a rough acclimation to the mix offensively for Shamet, who has shot just 39.7 percent overall, seeing his scoring average dip to 8.1 PPG. Having played at least 22 minutes in each of his past seven outings -- four of which he has scored in double figures -- Shamet will have sizable DFS appeal Wednesday. Upon Irving's return, look for Shamet to return to his bench role.
