Kyrie Irving Will Miss Thursday’s Contest
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Pacers due to a sore right groin. Irving was held to just 3-for-13 from the field overall Tuesday versus Toronto, with his nine points marking a season low. Tyler Johnson and Landry Shamet figure to handle the vast majority of PG duties, while Kevin Durant will correspondingly see his DFS appeal skyrocket with James Harden (hamstring) also sidelined. With a playoff spot already secured, Brooklyn has the luxury of playing it safe with Irving down the stretch. His next chance to take the floor comes Friday against Portland.
