MLB DFS Prop Picks for 4/30 - PrizePicks

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 MLB season and alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. For today's article, we are going to try and focus on the main board's Single Stat pitchers and explain why a pitcher will or will not go over their projected strikeout total. Let's see what the board offers today!

Single Stat MLBP Totals

Gerrit Cole over 10 strikeouts - Cole has equaled or matched this total in three of his five starts to begin 2021 and has one of the best matchups of the night in this one. The Detroit Tigers are currently striking out at a rate of 28% against right-handers over the previous 10 days, which ranks fifth-worst in the league. They are also posting just a wRC+ mark of just 62, which is second-worst over that span. Cole should have a very solid night in this one and get over the hump.

JT Brubaker over 5.5 strikeouts - Brubaker has had a solid start to 2021 as he has struck out 23 batters across his first 22 1/3 innings pitched while also posting a 2.01 ERA. He gets a matchup vs. a Cardinals offense that is currently posting a K rate of 27% against right-handers over the previous 10 days, which ranks ninth-worst in the league.

Shane Bieber over 9.5 strikeouts - We are at a point where Bieber must be taken over when his K prop is in the single digits. He just faced the White Sox on April 13th and went the distance while striking out 11. He can certainly reach 10 in this one as he has struck at out least 10 in four of his five starts in 2021. Bieber is also posting a K rate of nearly 34% against current White Sox hitters, which is a very solid number and also helps the over in this one.

Chase Anderson under 4.5 strikeouts - Anderson has only reached this total once and it was against the San Francisco Giants when they were struggling mightily against right-handed pitching. He will be facing a Mets lineup that has a 27% K rate against righties over the previous 10 days, which is not great, but also is probably not high enough to warrant an over play. Anderson has just 13 strikeouts in his 16 1/3 innings pitched this season as well and has just eight strikeouts in nine innings pitched at home this season.
