MLB DFS Prop Picks for 7/19 - PrizePicks

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 MLB season is alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props as well as hitter props in which you determine if the pitcher or hitter in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Tonight, we will look at some pitcher strikeout totals as well as some hitter fantasy point and single stat totals.

Single Stat and Fantasy Score MLBP and MLB Totals

Kyle Gibson over 5.0 strikeouts - Gibson will be facing the Tigers tonight and they are currently posting a K rate of 31.1% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 games, which is ranked worst in baseball. Gibson has gone over this total in each of his previous three starts, one of which was a seven-strikeout performance against these Tigers.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. over 9.5 fantasy points - Guerrero Jr. will be facing Nick Pivetta who has a 5.28 ERA against right-handed hitters thanks to the fact that he has allowed nine bombs and 16 doubles to them this season. Guerrero has hit righties to the tune of a 1.171 OPS with 26 bombs and 15 doubles. He is in a prime spot to crush Pivetta and he is also 3-for-5 with a double, home run, and three RBI off Pivetta. Add in the fact that the Blue Jays have an implied total of over six runs, and picking the over on this prop makes a lot of sense.

Xander Bogaerts over 7.5 fantasy points - I am going to stay in the same game with this fantasy points prop as Bogaerts has been swinging it pretty well lately as noted by his four doubles, two home runs, and .984 OPS over his previous 29 at-bats. He will be facing Ross Stripling who has struggled a bit against right-handed hitters as he has allowed a 5.05 ERA with 11 home runs. Bogaerts has also hit righties to the tune of a .907 OPS with 10 home runs on the season and is 2-for-6 with a bomb off Stripling in his career.

Yordan Alvarez over 8.0 fantasy points - Alvarez will be facing Jean Carlos Mejia who has allowed an absurd .314 BAA, 9.18 ERA, six doubles, and four home runs to left-handed hitters across just 16 2/3 innings pitched. Alvarez has a career .980 OPS vs. right-handed pitchers and has an .873 OPS with 12 home runs and 34 RBI against them this season. Mejia is also posting an ERA north of eight on the road this season, so this looks like a prime matchup for Alvarez as well as other left-handed Astros in the lineup tonight.
